The 2011 "Illuminate" Wearable Art Extravaganza's theme allowed artists to play with light in their designs and was a spectacle surpassing all previous shows.
Wearable Art is sculpture, painting, weaving, welding, sewing, fusing — art that is wonderful all on its own, and all the more so because it is designed to be worn on the human body.
The ILLUMINATE theme, gave competitors the opportunity to create works that used light, either through glowing elements on the piece or through the lit environment
Directed by Patricia Hull, the design team of Bauer/Clifton Interiors assisted by NorthWind Architects, Rik Pruitt, Calvin Anderson, Jeff Rogers, and Bing Carillo.
